Greta May Dutton was the second of three daughters of John Clinton Dutton Jr. & Bertha Alice Shutes. She married 21 April 1923 to Harold James "Jim" Good (1901-1978); he was born Harold McIntyre to William J. McIntyre & Mary C. "Mae" Duft. His mother died when he was one year old*, and he was adopted by Alva W. & Fanny (Wheelock) Good. Greta & Harold had one son: Melvin Harold Good, born 19 August 1935, named after Alva's father, Melvin L. Good (1846-1922).

The earliest record I found for my dear Aunt Greta was the 6 June 1900 census of Buckeye, Hardin County, Iowa (Buckeye was west of Alden):
John Dutton, 25, farm laborer
wife Bertha, 23
daughter Ethel, 2
daughter, age 1/12
So Greta, born 4 May 1900, was still without a name when she was over a month old!

*Obituary published in The Gospel Messenger, December 13, 1902, page 799:
McIntyre, Sister Mary Duft, died at her home in Hancock, Minn., Nov. 20, 1902, of dropsy, aged 33 years. She leaves a father, one brother, a husband and four small children. Interment in the cemetery at Iowa River church, Marshall County, Iowa. Funeral services conducted by F. M. Wheeler and J. J. Brower.
Mary's findagrave memorial is #24670025
William McIntyre's memorial is #24670027
Their four children: Clarence, Roy, Edith, & Harold.
Mary's father was Casper F. Duft (1842-1905), a native of Germany.

Buried next to Greta & Harold is Harold's baby nephew, William L. McIntyre, 1926, son of Roy McIntyre.
