Obituary:
PRESTON — Thomas John nine-year old son of Mr. and Mrs, Alfred Detzler, of Blair and formerly of Preston, died at the Sick Children's Hospital, Toronto, early today. The youth had been confined to hospital for the past 10 days, having undergone an operation. Born in Preston, Thomas had resided with his parents in Blair, where he attended school. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Alfred Detzler, two brothers, a twin brother, James and a brother, Joseph; three sisters, Helen, Betty and Marjorie, all at home; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Detzler, RR 2, Hespeler and a grandmother, Mrs. Bettschen, St. Thomas. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd. Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held on Sunday at 2 o'clock with interment in the Preston Cemetery. Rev. R. T. Appleyard of St. John's Anglican Church will officiate.
