Born November 17, 1967 , in Tucson, Arizona, he was the son of John A. Moore Jr. and Phyllis Ipson Moore. His father's job allowed him and his family to live in many different parts of the world. He lived in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii, Duncanville, TX, and Nieder Weisel Butzbach W. Germany. He attended Frankfurt American High School in Frankfurt, Germany and Duncanville High School, class of 1986 . He attended and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Linguistics. For a time, he worked as a Spanish interpreter in the Dallas-Ft. Worth court system.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a Spanish speaking mission to Northern California from 1989-1991. He enjoyed cooking, genealogy, and languages. He will be remembered for his caring and generous nature and his sense of humor. He is survived by his siblings, Laurel (James) Smith, Malia, and Kevin, mother, Phyllis Moore, nieces and nephews: Kirsten Smith Jordan (Scott), Hannah Smith, Jesse James Smith, Bryce Smith and Nathan Smith and great nephew, Connor Jordan . He was predeceased by his father John Adam Moore Jr. and nephew, Spencer L. Smith.
A memorial service, honoring his life, will be held at a later date in November 2020, near his birthday.
