OBITUARY

Budd, Stephen E. "Ned", 81, of Wayzata, passed away November 21, 2006 in Florida after a short illness.

Steve, a World War II Navy veteran, moved to Minneapolis in 1948. He is survived by Kate, his devoted wife of 58 years; children, Derrick Budd (Riana de Raad), Lucy Duckwitz (Ernest); grandchildren, Stephen (Julie), Giovana, and Daniel Ferrante; great- grandchildren, Layse and Diagan Ferrante; and sister, Marguerite (Capt. Richard) Hyde.

Steve graduated from Andover and Yale University. Steve originally came to Minneapolis as a representative of Snow- Crop Foods, but soon moved to Dain Rauscher as a broker. He retired in 2000 after 35 years with the firm. He was a long-time member of the Minneapolis and Woodhill Country Clubs. Steve was an avid golfer, loved tennis, squash and paddle tennis and he and Kate also enjoyed traveling. His friends will remember him as a diehard Twins fan and a crossword puzzle nut.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, November 29, 4:00 PM at St. Martin's by-the-Lake Epsicopal Church, 2801 Westwood Road in Minnetonka Beach.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the University of Minnesota Medical School for Prostate Cancer, or the Northern Environmental Support Trust. David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
