JORDAN WILLIAMS
Mr. Williams was a plain unassuming farmer, originally from North Carolina, and settled in the Canaan neighborhood about the year 1846. His industry and economy insured him a competency sufficient for the frugal wants of his declining years. He was a consistent Christian, being a communicant of the Baptist denomination. Mr. James Williams, his son, married about the year 1857, while quite young; and died a few years after, leaving one daughter, Miss Minnie, now the wife of Mr. John Newcomb. His only daughter, Miss Cenia, married Mr. W. T. Harris. Both are dead, and but one child survives them, Miss Lottie.
