Services for W. L. James Cross, 60, San Augustine, Texas are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at the Foster & Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Athens, Texas with the Rev. Lester Simmons officiating.
Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Athens, Texas.
Mr. Cross died Friday evening at a San Augustine nursing home after a long illness.
He was born January 14, 1931 in Humphrey, Arkansas, the son of Grover Preston and Ollie (Roswell) Cross. He had lived in Athens since 1979.
Survivors include his mother, Ollie Cross, Athens; five brothers, Lonnie Cross, Athens, Jake Cross, Stuttgart, Arkansas, Floyd Cross, Athens, Gary Cross, hope, Arkansas, and Bill Cross, Granbury; seven sisters, Florene Tipton, Bisco, Arkansas, Velma Davis, Owassom, Oklahoma, Edna LeBaron, Hillsboro, Norma Jordan, Dallas; Norma Deal, Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Delila Keaton of Humphrey, Arkansas.
