Jeanette Louise Case, age 49, of Ankeny, IA, died Thursday, August 14 after a short courageous battle with cancer, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA.
Funeral services- were held on Monday, August 18 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny. Graveside services were held Monday afternoon at Decoria Cemetery, Highway 22 South. A reception followed at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Ankeny Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Jeanette was born to Delbert and Edith (Boehland) Herzberg on June 24,1954, in Mankato. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1972, and from Mankato State College in 1976. She married William "Bill" Case on October 8, 1977 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in rural Good Thunder. She was employed by the Ankeny State Bank in Ankeny.
Jeanette will be sadly missed for her enthusiasm for life, her artistic abilities, and her love of family, athletics, good books, a good game of cards, and jig saw puzzles. Jeanette is survived by her husband; two daughters, Karisa Ann of Iowa City, IA, and. Katie Jean of Ankeny; one son, Kyle William of Ankeny; her parents or rural Good Thunder; three sisters, Marian (Melvin) Moore of Mapleton, Leanne (David) Mairs of Mason City, IA, and Joanne (Mark) Manahan of Eyota; mother-in-law Betty Case, brother-in-law Bob (Sandy) Case, and sister-in-law Sue (Greg) McLaughlin, all of Iowa; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
