Son of Jerome and Elizabeth (Murphy) Bell. He attended St. Charles Preparatory School, Ohio State University, and OSU Law School, and served during the Korean Conflict. He retired as General Counsel to the Ohio State Bar Association, and was a former Common Pleas judge. He was a past officer in the U.S. Power Squadron, and a life member of the Shamrock Club and OSU Alumni Association. He was preceded in death by his son Paul; brothers, Dan and John; and sisters, Barbara, Rosemary and Dorothy. He is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Albert J (Carla) Bell; daughter, Kathleen (Dennis) Greco; grandchildren, Brian (Brooke), Phillip, Kristin; great granddaughter Corinne; and sister, Betty Ann Kleinhenz.
