John moved to Aline 30 years ago, after retiring as Captain from the Enid Fire Department, serving for 25 years. On February 4, 1966 John married Linda S. Lackey in Enid. He served in the Air Force Reserves
John loved the outdoors and all things nature. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, and hunter. He always had a four-legged friend by his side. John was a member of Aline Lions Club and First Christian Church.
