Allan Dale Askew was born to William Slade and Shirley Ann Jenkins Askew on January 29, 1958, in Palestine Texas. He died at age 53 yrs on September 7, 2011, after a lengthy battle with heart disease. He and Mary Kay Holloman were married on October 25, 1974 In Longview, Texas and had one daughter, Krissy Ann, born on December 21, 1977, in Kilgore, Texas. Their marriage ended in the mid 1980s and Allan then married Christine Ann Jackson in December of 1987. They had one son, Nicholas Allan, born on March 21, 1992, in Nashville, Tennessee. As years passed their marriage also sadly came to an end. Allan then met his final wife, Patsy, and they married in 2001. They lived with and cared for his father Bill in Longview, Texas. Upon Allans passing, his wife Patsy, his father Bill, a brother Randy, a daughter Krissy Ann Askew Payne, a grandson Tommy Slade Payne, a son Nicholas Allan Askew, and a niece Maegan Lindsey Askew survived him. His mother Shirley, had preceded him in death on May 6, 2000. But only 3 short months later after his passing, his brother Randy Slade Askew, died at age 57 yrs on December 14, 2011, also from a lengthy battle with heart disease. His father Bill lived an additional 3 yrs and passed away on December 4, 2014. In December of 2020, his remaining family members include his two children, Krissy and Nick, two grandchildren, Tommy Slade Payne and Lana Rose Askew, and his niece, Maegan Lindsey Askew.
