74, He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving as a radar technician in the RCAF. He worked with Northern Electric Company in St. John's and Halifax for many years, moving to Montreal, Toronto and Moncton before retiring to Nova Scotia. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by two sons, Dean, Brian, both of St. John's; two daughters, Carol Crouse, Mississauga, Ont.; Coleen (Mrs. Charles Stirling), St. John's; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Effie Covey.
