Linda Beard, age 72, passed away in South Texas on November 15, 2020. Linda was the wife of Missionary Thomas Beard.
Funeral services for Linda will be held at 1:00 Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Wells Funeral Home and again at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service Saturday.
Linda Beard was born on May 22, 1948. She was the daughter of Gilbert Lantrip and Mary Lucy (Ríales) Lantrip.
She has been serving in Mexico with her husband, Thomas Beard, as missionaries for the last 46 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Brandon Thomas Beard.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Beard; her children, Melissa Evans (Doug) of Golden, Ms., and Justin Beard (Stephanie) of Knoxville, Tn., 5 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson. She is also survived by her brothers. Kenneth Lantrip (Linda) of Southaven, Ms., and David Lantrip (Marie) of Horn Lake, Ms., as well as nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and the people she ministered to.
