Stephen Vinson Acheson, 51, of Burkburnett, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Burkburnett with Rev. Khoi Tran, celebrant. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.

Steve was born June 20, 1968 in Flint, Michigan to Donald and Juliana (Guerra) Acheson. He was a 1986 graduate of Burkburnett High School, and went on to serve our country in the United States Army. Steve was a real people person and a friend to everyone he met. He loved watching football, listening and dancing to country music, and he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Acheson; and his younger brother, Jeremy Acheson.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Becky Hernandez of Wichita Falls; his mother, Julia Acheson of Burkburnett; his children, Chase Moore and wife Sarah of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cameron Moore and wife Rachel of Mississippi, Savanah Acheson Mass and husband Kody of Wichita Falls, Coby Acheson and wife Lexi of Wichita Falls, and Katie Hefner and husband Kirby of El Paso; his sisters and brothers, Michelle Gann and husband Randy of Burkburnett, Ronald Acheson and wife Rhianna of Wichita Falls, Jennifer Lichtenberger and husband Kurt of Wichita Falls, his twin sister, Stephanie Marshall and husband Paul of Iowa Park, Briana Burke and husband Christopher of Keller, Jason Acheson and Erik Acheson both of Burkburnett; eight grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
