Surviving is his wife, Lucille, a brother, Jim ( Jan) Loomis, San Diego, Cal., 2 sisters, Carol Loomis, New Port, Rhode Island, Nancy (Grady) Pittman, Eden, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Robert Forrest Loomis was born June 7, 1927 at North Adams, Massachusetts. He was the son of Horrace and Anna Chambers, Loomis. Robert graduated from the Drury High School in North Adams in 1945. He then went on to serve in the United States Navy during WWII. Following his return from service Bob attended North Adams Normal School. He then moved to California where he sold restaurant supplies. Bob moved to Monticello in 1953 and started Bob's Café in downtown Monticello. He later operated Bob's Grill in Hollywood area. Bob has been interested in antiques most of his life. He started Monticello Antique Show in 1959. He has operated and organized the show for 42 years. Bob was also an active member of the Monticello Rotary Club. A memorial fund has been established.
