Irene Fleming, 92, of Baytown peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2007. Irene was born March 3, 1915 in Cameron, TX to William and Francis Edmonds. A long time resident of the area Irene was a Women's Auxiliary member of the Baytown VFW and a member of the Young at Hearts of Highlands and an avid painter. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Luther B. Fleming; daughter, Dolores Barker, and sister, Artie Malley. Irene is survived by her children Gene Fleming and his wife Vi of Kingwood, Dan Fleming and his wife Mary of Baytown, Debby Moy and her husband John of Baytown, and Mark Fleming and his wife Jewel of Yoakum. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and many family and friends. Irene's family wishes to thank the staff of Remington Park of Baytown for their eight years of care, compassion and kindness.

Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2007 from 6-9PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, TX 77562. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 2PM at Sterling-White Funeral Home followed by burial in Sterling-White Cemetery.
