Spring, TX -- Carolyn Sue Williamson-Johnson-Ansley, 75, of Spring, passed away in the hospital on Good Friday, April 10, 2020 after a period of failing health.

Born on Thursday, February 1, 1945, Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of Elmer V. and Lessie Crabtree-Williamson of Glenpool, Oklahoma. Carolyn was married to Johnnie A. Johnson from May 19, 1964 until his passing on February 19, 1988. They were married for 23 years and 9 months. Carolyn relocated from Glenpool, Oklahoma in 1989 to Waxahachie, Texas. She then married John W. Ansley from June 1, 1991 until his death on December 18th, 2013. They were married for 22 years and 6 months.

A couple years ago, Carolyn found a very special friend, Ken Witham. They enjoyed spending daily time together and would often be seen on weekends visiting their favorite restaurants, a long list of garage sales and estate sales looking for memorabilia and unique treasures. You would always find them seated together on the second pew at their church Spring Woods Methodist on FM1960 in Spring, Texas. They remained close friends until her passing.

Carolyn is a graduate of Glenpool Public Schools, class of 1964. She worked for many years as a nurse aid for Bartlett Memorial Hospital of Sapulpa and several nursing homes in the Sapulpa and Tulsa areas in the 70s and 80s. For a time in the 70s served as a private nurse. Following her relocation to Waxahachie was employed by the local hospital. After Carolyn and John were married, they moved to Alvarado. Where she eventually retired due to health issues from a TDCJ Correctional Facility, the Estes Unit in Venus, Texas. In 2014, Carolyn relocated to Spring, Texas in a senior living community that she loved and called home.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Victor Williamson and Lessie Williamson, daughter, Belinda Carol Johnson, two husbands, John W. Ansley and Johnnie A. Johnson.

She is survived by one son, John Russell Johnson, sister Sharon Riley; three grandchildren, Christopher John Johnson, Rebecca Louise Johnson and Joshua Victor Johnson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will be at the Bixby Cemetery, Bixby Oklahoma.
