Mrs. Sylvia Griffin Selph, age 68, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Jeff Davis Hospital.
Mrs. Selph was born October 20, 1951 in Jacksonville FL but had made Hazlehurst her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fulton Griffin and Linnie Mae Simmons Griffin, sister, Mary Christine Tuggle and brother, Ronnie Griffin. She was employed with Jeff Davis County Board of Education for 17 years as a Special Education Bus Driver and was a devoted member of the Liberty Community Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lee Selph of Hazlehurst; three sons, Leander Selph of Helena, Heath Selph (Allison) of Jacksonville FL and Kevin Selph of Hazlehurst; brother Wendell Griffin (Linda) of Soperton; eight grandchildren, Ashton Mooday, Dylon Selph, Karleigh Selph, Marley Selph, Cole Baucom, Austin Selph, Kam Selph and Trevor Selph; one great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 01, 2020 at Liberty Community Cemetery at 11:00am with Rev. Milton Thomas officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be any 1969 classmates who wishes to attend,
all her church family, co-workers and family and friends in attendance.
