Son of George Harvey Burroughs Sr and Florence Lucille Belotte, Milo and his brothers grew up at 104 Seagrove Road in Portsmouth, Virginia. Milo loved aviation at an early age and spent his whole life around airplanes and hangars. He served in the Army Air Corp at the same time both brothers, George Harvey Burroughs Jr and Robert Corbell Burroughs were in the military. After Korean tour he joined the National Guard but reenlisted in 1967 and served two terms in Viet Nam when his reserve unit was activated. He was a CW4 helicopter pilot and could fly about any aircraft. Milo also worked as a Flight Navigator for Seattle Boeing and the Federal Aviation Agency in Oklahoma City before moving to Fort Bragg, N.C. After retirement from active duty, he worked as a civilian pilot for Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, N.C.
Milo married Betty Moen in Reno, Nevada in 1952 and they divorced in 1976.
He was married to Marguerite Marie (Pegg) Bauer in Martin Florida 13 March 1977. They divorced in 1987.
About 1999 Milo met and married Wenji Jia in Beijing, China.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of over 20 years Wenjin and their daughter Jessica.
Daughter Shirley and grandchilden: Milo, Jennifer, David and Sean. 9 Great Grandchldren and 3 Great Great Grandaughters. Neice Mary Lou Burroughs Cummings and many other neices and nephews. Brother Robert C Burroughs, S.C.
Memorial Services were October 2nd, 2020. with music " Country Roads, Take Me Home".
