WARREN ISAIAH BAUMGARTNER
6-WEEK-OLD son of Mathew and Mary Baumgartner of Bethel, died of sudden infant death syndrome on Oct. 24, 2002. He and his parents were on a family vacation to introduce Warren to his grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Anchorage and Ketchikan areas.

A memorial service was held Saturday at the Baha'i Center. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Angelus Memorial Park.

Warren was born Sept. 8 in Bethel.

His family wrote: "He was the joy and delight of his grandparents and many family members in Bethel who have been blessed with being able to spend these weeks holding and playing with him. Warren was happiest when being held and particularly loved to follow and watch lights high above his head as he went from room to room, outdoors, and especially shopping and in restaurants. His high level of alertness was noted by all."

Besides his parents, Warren is survived by his grandparents, Henry and Flora Jack of Mekoryuk, James and Nelia Baumgartner of Anchorage, Andriana and Don Moss of Ketchikan, and Agnes and Felix Flynn of Bethel; aunts, Naomi Michalsen, Hattie Baumgartner and Zeta Moss of Ketchikan, Natasha Hayes of Los Angeles, Cheyoko Baumgartner of Phoenix, Ariz., Amanda Chief of Bethel, and Ariane and Rebecca Flynn of Bethel; uncles, Johnny Jack of Anchorage and Carl Flynn of Bethel; and numerous cousins and friends.
