Dennis was born to Walker and Winell Alexander in Stillwater Oklahoma, June 26, 1953. He was one of four children to bless the Alexander Family, which included three sons and one daughter. He was raised in Granite, Oklahoma where his father was the farm superintendent for the prison system.

Dennis joined the Air Force in 1973 and honorably discharged in 1978 at the rank of Sergeant out of Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas. He spent the rest of his working life in the oil field and he loved driving a truck.

Dennis met the love of his life, Becky while stationed in Abilene and they were married October 20, 1974. They had one child, Michelle, who Dennis thought the world of until he had grandchildren then she was a close second.

Dennis loved his family dearly and was a very proud veteran. Dennis talked fondly of his service to his country and the life-long friends he made along the way. He was also the type person that never met a stranger.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Winell, sister Donna Alexander, and brother Kent Alexander.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Becky, of Stamford, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Bruce Toney of Sagerton, Texas; grandchildren: Meg Toney of Dallas, Texas, Clay Toney of Abilene, Texas, and Tarah Toney of Dallas, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Linn Alexander of Granite, OK.

Dennis Alexander of Stamford, Texas passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the age of 67.

Dennis will be interred at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at (7457 W. Lake Rd) Abilene, Texas at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2020 under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home Stamford, Texas. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2020 at Faith Lutheran Church (2308 S.H. 283) in Sagerton, Texas.
