A funeral service for Hollis Adams 55, years old, who died at his home on Brookhaven, R 2, Saturday, Sept. 25, was held at the New Prospect Church by the pastor, Rev. James Hubert Hammett of Clinton, Monday morning. There was a very large attendance at the funeral. Interment was made in the New Prospect cemetery.
A farmer and a leader in church activities of his denomination, the Baptist, Mr. Adams had been in ill health for a year or more.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Smith Adams, a daughter of the late Rev. Charlie Smith; and one son. Sympathy is extended in the bereaved family and relatives.
