Lowry Guest, 71, a welder at Heath Craft for 30 years, former pastor of Concord Baptist Church, and part-time electrician, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, in Crowder. Services were Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Dickins Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with burial in the Crowder Cemetery in Crowder. Rev. Eddie Hannah, Rev. Carl Morris, and Rev. Sherman Adams officiated. Dickins Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mr. Guest was born December 26, 1935, in Eupora to Mary Lou Dendy and James Edward Guest.
He was an active member of the "I AM" Ministry and a United States Air Force veteran.
Survivors included his wife, Dorothy "Dotsy" Waller Guest, three sons, Lowry Guest, Jr., Stanley Guest, and James Guest, two daughters, Sheila Bycofski, and Jeffie Lyles; brother Dan T. Guest, sister, Dianne Johnson; and twelve grandchildren; father-in-law, Roy Walker, two brothers-in-law, James William Waller and Glenn Waller; four sisters-in-law, Sandra Moore, Wanda Moore, Marie Martin and Lynette Bland; numerous nieces and nephews; and six great-grandchildren.
