One of 8 brothers and sisters, Peter Warren was the son of Elisha Nelson Warren and Hannah Cummings. It is believed that he was born in Putnam Valley, New York. He married Emma Melissa Carrigan and together they had four children:

Minnie B. Warren b.1871 d. 1943
Carrie Warren b. 1874 d. 1876
Ella Pauline Warren b. 1879 d. 1963

Peter was killed in accident in 1885. His widow Emma, later remarried on 25 Dec 1887 in Kent Cliffs, New York to Charles H. Benedict. They made their home in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
