John Annie White, born on January 5, 1880, was the youngest of the seven children of John and Charity (Rose) White. She married John Hilmer Johnson in 1897 and they later moved to Brownwood. She and Hilmer moved to Ebony, Texas in the early 1920's to try their hand at raising cotton but Hilmer returned to his job as a drayer for road construction companies. Johnanna and Hilmer Johnson were the parents of five children. Johnanna Johnson died on May 1, 1959 and is buried in the Greenleaf Cemetery with Hilmer and three of their children.
