Aaron, a cooper by trade, arrived in Milford in 1806. He married Elizabeth Gatch, Rev Philip Gatch's 3rd daughter and built a large two story home on Lot 10A of 25 Main Street in Milford. Aaron was appointed the first postmaster of Milford in 1809 serving up until 1833 and later developed the first drug store in Milford.
