The family moved to Sand Springs where Alma attended school. While browsing in a local drug store, Alma met the love of her life, John J. Graham. After three weeks of dating, they were married on May 27, 1944, in Tulsa. Their marriage and deep love for each other were an inspiration for all. They were excellent parents with their caring and guidance of their son, Johnny. John and Alma looked forward to their trips together, and were proud that they visited all 50 states. Although they always loved their trips, she was always happy to come back to her hometown of Sand Springs.
Alma was passionate about taking care of her home and family; and any time the church doors were open, John and Alma were there. They were long time members of Harvest Time Church, and later attended First Assembly of God and Prattwood Assembly of God. Alma enjoyed singing in the choir, prayed for others daily, and was faithful in studying her Bible. God was the center of her life.
Alma also loved shopping. She knew just when and where to shop; and always took time for some coffee and a piece of pie.
Alma is preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, John in 2019; her son, Johnny Graham; her parents; and brothers: Floyd, Rufus, Roy, and Walter Brown.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law; and her two grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, June 11, at Woodland Memorial Park with Pastor Tim Watkins officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
