A homemaker for 58 years, she was employed as a phone counselor and mail reader for Dr. Robert Schuller's Tower of Hope in Garden Grove. During World War II, she worked for the United States Army Corps o Engineers. Besides family, friends and religion, three of her favorite activities were bowling, reading and horses. She received several citizenship awards from the Walker Knott Foundation, Americanism Educational League in Buena Park. She was a member of St. Mary of the Valley in Yucca Valley, Yucca Valley Friends of the Library, Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island Foundation and National Republican Congressional Committee.
