Bessie Lee Faniel, 92, of 55 Tyler St. died Sunday at home. Born and schooled in Dawson, Ga., she was a longtime resident here. She worshipped at the Third Baptist Church. She belonged to the Order of Calanthe and the Knights of Pythias. She leaves two sisters, Annie Laster of Springfield, and Sopholia Parker of Hampton, Va., and her nephew, James Faniel of Springfield. The funeral will be Saturday morning at Harrell Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the funeral, and memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 393 Maple St., Springfield, Mass., 01105.
