William F. Munsell Sr., 68, of Route 1 died at 1:05 a.m. Sunday, May 26, 1991, in Marion Memorial Hospital. Mr. Munsell was the owner and operator of Munsell Sawmill. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was born May 28, 1922, in West Frankfort to Commodore and Anna P. (Bluff) Munsell.

He married Carrie Genieve (Manier) Orr. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Ben Munsell of Worden and William F. Munsell Jr. of West Frankfort; one daughter, Sally Hedges of Princeton, Ind.; one stepson, Larry Orr of Oak Lawn; four stepdaughters, Marcella Clarida of Lockport, Sharon Stanger of Bolingbrook, Elsie Johnson of Laingsburg, Mich., and Kathy West on of West Frankfort; six grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Eloise Fehn of Evansville, Ind., Josephine Kirk of Carterville and Ramona Sears of Bowling Green, Ky.

His parents and first wife, Charlotte, who died in 1961, preceded him in death.

Services in Parker-Reedy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy Culpepper officiating. Burial in Tower Heights Cemetery.
