In 1936, she moved to New York where she met and married Hammond Alexander, Jr. She raised a family of ten children and worked as a nurse.
Upon retirement, she and her husband moved back to her hometown of Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Annie passed away during a visit to Atlanta, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Kenneth and Dwight.
Annie was dearly loved by all of her family and friends, and will be remembered as a dedicated mother, a beloved grandmother and as a true Christian, who was a timeless worker, as a Jehovah's Witness. She is missed by all who knew her.
