William "Cat/Cat Daddy" Walter Lovelace Sr. age 87 went home to be with The Lord August 14, 2007 after a lengthy illness.

He was born in BeBe Arkansas on September 24, 1919.

He moved to Waukegan IL at age 6 months and lived his entire life in this area.
He served his country with the U.S. Navy, he was a Veteran of World War II. He later married Evelyn, his friend and love. He workd at Nash-Rambler, American Motors and Now called Chrysler for over thirty years before retiring for another thirty years. He was a family man. Rough sometimes harsh at times but a loving and giving person. He later adopted his granddaughter Shakora after his daughter's death. We surely will miss you telling us all to get out and go (smile).

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Valerie (James Thomas) West, Shakora (Robert Timmons) Lovelace, Sons, James (Jeanette) Lovelace, Lynn Lovelace, William Jr. (Connie Spearman), Sisters, Virginia Harrison, Cleo Wilson, Brother, Melvin Lovelace, Brothers in Law, Leon (Brenda), Jinks Jr., (Dolly), James Ivy (Charlene) Hartsfield, Sisters in Law, Barbara Jean (Howard) Morrow, Helen Mathis, Julie Hartsfield, Lula Laster, fourteen grandchildren, nine plus great grandchildren too many to mention, Several nieces,
nephews, cousins, a special friend, Willie Foxie, Special Thanks to Wendy Lovelace (niece) Cheri West, Morgan West, Lia Lovelace (grandchildren) Dennis Smith (Grandson in Law) for all the help they gave freely from the heart.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Evelyn, mother Virginia, daughter Adrienne, brothers Howard, Elvin, sister Zelma Moulton To name a few.
We truly will miss you. You at peace say hi to mom as you embrace her again.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 20, 2007, at 11:00 A.M. from the Shiloh Baptist Church, 800 S. Genesee St., Waukegan, IL. Rev. Walstone Francis, Pastor, Pastors Willie and Kathy Moton, Officiating, Christian faith fellowship church, 414 McAree Road, Waukegan, IL. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. at Shiloh.
