Funeral services for Albert B. Savoy, 63, of Opelousas, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Memorial Park.
Savoy died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday at his home following a long illness. He resided in the Little Teche area, where he farmed. His body is at Lafond and Son Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited there at 7:30 tonight. Savoy was a member of the St. Landry Parish Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his widow, the former Elda Theriot; one son, Harold "Buggs" Savoy; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Wyble and Miss Ann Marie Savoy; six brothers, Tom, Ashton, Bill, Carroll, Henry and Alvin Savoy, all of Opelousas; and two grand children.
