Savoy died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday at his home following a long illness. He resided in the Little Teche area, where he farmed. His body is at Lafond and Son Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited there at 7:30 tonight. Savoy was a member of the St. Landry Parish Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his widow, the former Elda Theriot; one son, Harold "Buggs" Savoy; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Wyble and Miss Ann Marie Savoy; six brothers, Tom, Ashton, Bill, Carroll, Henry and Alvin Savoy, all of Opelousas; and two grand children.
