Ilene Foreman Canion passed away Easter morning, April 12, 2020.

Ilene was born on February 2, 1934, to Ottie and Ina Foreman in Ballinger, Texas. She retired from the Wall Street Journal, Dallas Morning News and San Angelo Times as a typesetter, and a devoted member of the Birdville Baptist Church.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents, Ottie and Ina, and her siblings, Imogene Rutland, Coleman Foreman, Lonnie Foreman, Wayne Foreman, Weldon Foreman, and Joyce Yoes.

SURVIVORS - Her son, Ron Canion and his wife, Lisa of Aledo, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Canion and his wife, Misty, Whitney Reichenstein and her husband, Luke; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Lauren Canion, Nolan and Reagan Reichenstein; four step-daughters, Wynell Corey and her husband, Pete, Renae Canion, Renise Ejem, Gwen Wilson and her husband, Rojo; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Dean Tate of San Angelo, Texas and Twila Nowell and her husband, James, of Abilene, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.

A private graveside service will be held for immediate family only at Greenwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be conducted at a future date at Birdville Baptist Church in Haltom City.
