Mrs. Dorothy D. Evins, age 98 of Hartsville, TN passed away Friday morning, March 27, 2020 at Quality Center Rehab and Healing in Lebanon, TN.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Lytle and Ada Dalton; Brother, William Dalton; 3 Sisters, Lois Porter, Lillian Wright and Rachel Davis.

Survived by: Daughter, Candace (Don) Mowry; 2 Granddaughters, Brandy Farmer (Jeff Daugherty) and Tambra Shields (Chris Cornish); 5 Great Grandchildren, Bayley Beasley, Macayla Smith, Ayden Baskin, Chelsey Scott and Addison Cornish; 3 Great Great Grandchildren, Conley Scott, Jentrie Scott and Ryan Smith; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Evins was a graduate of David Lipscomb University. She retired as administrator for Hartsville Convalescent Center after 25 years of service.

She was very active in her community with various things she enjoyed including holding Bible study at the jail for the inmates. Everyone knew and loved β€œMama Dot.” She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her beloved family. She was also a faithful member at the Hartsville Church of Christ and loved her church family.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Hartsville Memorial Gardens conducted by Minister Gerald Burchett with Jeff Daughtery, Zach Smith, Austin Berry, Don Mowry, Jerry Helm and Glenn Haynes serving as pallbearers.

The family wishes to extend a special β€œThank you” to Jamie Morton at Quality Center Rehab and Healing.
