White Plains - RoseMarie Longo of North White Plains, NY passed away on March 25, 2020 surrounded by her family. She will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. RoseMarie was a light unto the world and touched the lives of all she met through her genuine kindness and compassion, infinite strength and courage, as well as her constant positivity and heart of gold. She will be missed enormously. Born in White Plains, NY on December 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano Damiano and Phyllis Portanova. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Paul Longo, loving twin sisters, Joanne Pierce, Jean Damiano, and her adored baby brother, Rocco Damiano. She is survived by her beloved children, Susan Longo-Marzella, Richard Longo, Diana Longo-Altro and Gerard Longo. She is also survived by her loving daughters-in-law, Kim Longo, Sharon Longo and her wonderful son-in-law, Scott Altro. RoseMarie is survived by her seven cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Frankie Marzella, Matthew and Andrea Longo, Danielle and Scott Altro and Emily Longo. She is survived by her loving sister, Florence Cotroneo and wonderful sister-in-law, Jerie Ann Damiano. She leaves behind many nieces and her adored Tyler. She was retired from BOCES Northern Westchester. She enjoyed being around her family. She was a loving mother and a caring grandmother. Her family will always remember her delicious meals, family gatherings, building gingerbread houses and decorating gingerbread men at Christmas. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy and she will never be forgotten. She will be our guardian angel in heaven. Her soul will live on forever. Interment, Mount Calvary Cemetery. A memorial mass for family and friends will follow at a future date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
