Dorothy Ruth Boggs 77 of Lloyd KY went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.
She was born in White Gravel Road Ohio on July 19, 1942 a daughter of the late Ralph and Vicky Crabtree.
She was a member of the Mt. Sterling Old Regular Baptist Church, a volunteer for Helping Hands in Greenup and a retired seamstress for Wilson Leather and Shawnee Shoes.
She was preceded in death along with her birth parents by William “Bill” and Alka Fyffe whom raised her; a grandson, Jeffery Allen Carr; a great grandson, Joey Humphrey; two brothers, Everett Crabtree and Roger Cooper and two sisters, Ruth Fyffe and Joanne Meade.
She is survived by her husband Paul Edward Boggs; two daughters, Ruth Gail Huffman and her husband Robert W. of Grayson and Peggy Alice Davis and her husband Tom of Portsmouth; a granddaughter, Sara Ruth Stienecker and her husband Cain; a great granddaughter, Chloe Carver; her adopted son, Tim Knipp and his wife Sherry of Ashland; a brother, Ernie Crabtree of Columbus; her best friend, Teresa Cotton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Wright’s Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Elders, Ishmael Hall, Bobby Robinson, Jerry Overstreet and Danny Hurley.
Burial will follow in the Quillen Cemetery in Lynn KY.
Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2020 and 1 hour before the funeral Thursday at the funeral home.
Church services will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday during visitation by Elders, Jimmy Stewart, Darrell Kidd and Arthur Mathis.
The family would like to express to everyone that if you do not feel safe attending public funeral services at this time and wish to show your condolences in other ways it is understood. A separate register book and memorial cards will be made available without having to enter the facility if you so desire.
