Obituary for George Walter Eichelberger III
George Walter Eichelberger, III, 96, of Nederland, Texas passed away March 11, 2020. He was born in Goose Creek, Texas on May 21, 1923 to the late George Walter Eichelberger, II and Antoinette Thames Eichelberger. George served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force and was a member of the Twin City Church of God in Port Arthur. 

Those left to cherish George's memory are his son, George Walter Eichelberger, IV and his wife, Judy of Houston; his daughters, Margaret Sims and her husband, Patrick of Euless, Elizabeth Esthay of Nederland, Mary Watkins of Batson, and Doris Kenneson and her husband, Ronnie of Mesa, Arizona; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Bonnie Howe of Atlanta,TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Eichelberger; his first wife, Flora Dell Flowers Eichelberger; his brothers, Byron Lee Eichelberger, Robert Lawrence Eichelberger, and Francis Eichelberger; and his sister Janet Anderson. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Twin City Church of God of Port Arthur from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service being held at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Lewis Morris officiant under the direction of Melancon's Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
