Nancy was born to Kenneth and Panyota Elwood on April 21, 1953 in Cameron, Texas. She is survived by her husband, John of 46 years, sons Alex Vorderkunz and wife, Janeia, Jacob Vorderkunz and wife, Judy, daughter Sara and husband, Andrew Jakubik; grandchildren, Alex, Jonathan, Caroline, Madeline, Charlie, and Baylen.
Nancy spent many hours in her yard by not only growing flowers and plants but in sharing her love for nature with all of those around her. She had the most patient and understanding hands that not only were there to support you but also to serve all of those in need. She had the best ears to listen, a shoulder to lean on, and greatest advice in her words of wisdom. Nancy's craft for planning events was always mastered with frugal trips to Goodwill & 99 cent store to find the perfect touches to make the event memorable for those she loved. Nancy was the most selfless loving woman that never met a stranger. Her greatest accomplishments are reflected through her children, and in the lives of her 6 grandkids in the legacy she leaves behind. May we all remember not that you died, but that you lived, And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
