Last rites were held at 3 p.m. Monday from the James-Coker-Peters Chapel for Mrs. Mary Siney Abell, 84, of 1209 Beauchamp street, who died Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in a local hospital after a 10 months illness.

The Rev. Cecil Vaughn and the Rev. Fred Moore officiated, and burial was in Forest Park.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Abell had spent most of her life in Hunt county. She was born on June 1, 1871, in Sweetwater, Tenn., the daughter of Spencer and Ann Cathcart Moser. In 1887, she came to Texas and was married to John Willis on June 11, 1891. He preceded her in death and on December 1, 1924 she was married to John Abell.

She had been a member of the Baptist church since the age of 21.

Mrs. Abell is survived by six daughters, Mrs. C.A. Harper and Mrs. Homer Driggers of Greenville, Mrs. George Swafford of Peniel, Mrs. Birchie Browning of Lone Oak, Mrs. Roscoe Amonette of Marshall, and Mrs. S.M. Moore of Dallas; three sons, C.C. Willis of Commerce, H.J. Willis of Lone Oak and H.C. Willis of Sherman; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. A.J. Duff and Mrs. E.T. Walker of Greenville, Mrs. P.C. O'Pry of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Will Brown of Calmon, Okla.; and two brothers, L.B. Moser of Greenville and W.A. Moser of Lone Oak. Her husband and two children preceded her in death.
