Francisca Avila Cortez was born October 7, 1915 in La Noria De Churintzio, Michoacan, Mexico and longtime resident of Manteca, CA passed away at the age of 104 years old. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Roman Cortez. She is survived by her three children, Ramon Cortez, Ruben Cortez and Irene Cervantes, along with 19 grandchildren, 42 great- grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Victoria Leon. 

She has watched Manteca grow from only two main dirt roads, Main St. and Yosemite Avenue. She was loved and will be missed beyond measure.

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 6060 Northland Rd., Manteca, CA 95336, on Friday, December 27, 2019 with the viewing starting at 8 a.m. followed by the celebration of life at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6060 Northland Rd., Manteca, CA followed by her final resting place at the East Union Cemetery."
