( March 24, 1959 - December 4, 2019)

Marcia Marie (Roland) Alexander, 60, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center; formerly of Leavenworth, Kansas.

Marcia was born to Marcia N. (Adams) Kimmel and Phillip G. Roland Sr. in Winchester, Kansas on March 24, 1959.

Marcia was a receptionist and caretaker in her adult life. She resided in Leavenworth, Atchison, and Potter, Kansas. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, crafts of all types, sewing, and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member and believer in the Baptist faith. She was an amazing Mom and Grandma. She was very outgoing, spiritual woman who gave much love to others.

Marcia is survived by her two daughters, both of Leavenworth, Kansas, Kristin (Alexander) Moppin and Misty M. (Alexander) Moore; five grandchildren, Marissa L. Enriquez, Elizabeth P. Enriquez, Kevin K. Moppin Jr., Larry W. Enriquez Jr., and Kara K. Moppin; four great-grandchildren, Braxton W. Mooney, Kayleigh M. Mooney, Frances S. Hunt and Brentley J. Moppin; six siblings, Phillip G. (Mary) Roland, Jr., Sandra K. (Greg) Booker, Randy L. (Deania) Roland, Tamara (Joe) Falvella, Jerry B. (Carrie) Harris, and Rebecca D. (Kimmel) Hendrickson.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; Marcia and James Kimmel; and Phillip G. Roland, Sr., one grandchild, Havien N. Moppin; and a nephew, Eric M. Roland.

I would like to say a special thank you to those who helped our Mother during her time of need. Aunt Cheryl and Aunt Debbie, who comforted her by long talks and anything else she needed from them. And a special thank you to Aunt Gwendy, who was a comforter, caretaker, and loving cousin who devoted many hours helping our Mom. We greatly appreciate everything everyone did in helping us and our Mom during this time of need.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019, at Davis Funeral Chapel from 3 to 5 P.M. Funeral Service will follow at 5 P.M. on Davis Funeral Chapel officiated by Pastor Justin Sanford and Brother Don Anderson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made out to Davis Funeral Chapel to help the family pay for the services.
