GORMAN -- Thelma Lucille Hampton, 84, died Friday in a local nursing home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Craig Rhoton officiating. Burial will be in De Leon Cemetery.

Mrs. Hampton was born in Liberty in Comanche County and married Lonnie Hampton in 1930 in Rock Bluff. She was a homemaker and moved to Gorman about 50 years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, of Gorman; one daughter, Joy Grimm of Arlington; one sister, Avis Brinson of De Leon; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
