Sue C. Watkins, 76 of Eastland, passed away Sunday September 29, 2019 in Abilene. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 3rd at the First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home Wednesday, 5:30 ~ 6:30 pm.

Sue was born February 4, 1943 in Ranger, TX to Robert Lee Cantwell and Victoria Neva (Wilson) Cantwell. She graduated from Ranger High School and attended Cisco Jr. College. She married Keith Watkins on July 14, 1972 in Cross Plains. She worked for Eastland Memorial Hospital in several capacities for 40 years, retiring from their HR department. She was an associate member of the Eastland County Retired Teacher’s Association, and attended Community Bible Study. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees including Communion Steward, and Kitchen Committee where she helped serve countless meals for different occasions.

She loved watching nature and everything outdoors; especially raising flowers, and taking care of her cats, dogs & horses. She and Keith enjoyed going on horseback fishing trips in Colorado.

She is survived by her husband, Keith; multiple cousins; and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Bullock Cemetery Association, PO Box 316, Ranger, TX 76470.
