Frank W Parrish was born on December 13, 1887 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of William Parrish (ca 1845–1913) and Bettie (Carter) (Palmer) Parrish (1855–1918). {Frank's parents were married on November 21, 1880 [or 1884?] in Cooper, Missouri, and they were apparently buried in San Antonio, Texas.}

Frank moved to Nashville, Tennessee about 1909, and he was married in 1934 {according to his obituaryh} as the 2nd husband of Ruby Beatrice (Dalton) Box (1901–1975).

A member of Buena Vista Lodge # 639 F&AM and a machinist at Nashville Machinery & Supply Company for 15 years, he retired about 1950 because of ill health. Living at 714 Hart Avenue in Nashville, Tennessee, he was 66 years old and married when he died at home on August 17, 1954 after a long illness.

Survivors included his widow Ruby, stepson Lester T Box of Nashville and sister Mrs Amy Vandergrift in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Funeral Services were held on August 19th at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home, and burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.

Much of the above is from his Death Certificate, with Mrs Ruby Parrish of 714 Hart Avenue as the informant. Additional information is from his published obituary in NASHVILLE BANNER on August 18, 1954.
