"Vera Mae Barstow of Santa Anna, Texas passed to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 3:17 pm at Brownwood Regional Medical Center at the age of 87 years. Services will be Saturday at 10:00 am at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion with Pastor Charles Fales officiating. Interment will follow with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The family will greet friends for visitation on Friday from 6:00 till 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.

"She was born Vera Mae Harmon on June 13, 1932 in Deerfield, Michigan to Frank Lorenzo and Iva Mae Snyder Harmon. Vera was raised in Michigan where she attended school. On March 4, 1950 Vera married the love of her life Robert Wayne Barstow in Lapeer, Michigan and they celebrated 59 years of marriage. Robert preceded her in death in 2009.

"They were residents of Weatherford moving to Santa Anna in 1992 where she has since resided. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a 'Doe' in the Elks Lodge. Vera was a great cook and loved spending time with her family and animals. She worked alongside her husband for 15 years at the Lighthouse for the Blind Coffee Shop. Vera was also known at the 'Popcorn Lady' at the Santa Anna National Bank.

Survivors include 2 Daughters - Pat & husband S D 'Red' Fellers of Santa Anna, Texas; Susie Voss and husband Ed of Santa Anna, TX & Marlette, MI; 5 Sons, Mike & wife Debbie Barstow of Ft Worth, Texas, Randy Barstow of Ft Worth, Texas, Gary & wife Debby Barstow of Bangs, Texas, Tony & wife Toni Marie Brown of Ft Worth, Texas, Greg & wife Dannette Brown of Ft Worth, Texas, Sister – Marge Moshier of Marlette, Michigan, 15 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren.

"Vera was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Margo Barstow and by infant twin brothers."
