Richard D. “Dick” Fisher, 87, of Derry Township, Lewistown, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at his home.

Born Aug. 6, 1932, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Edward John and Mabel Grace (Deitweiler) Fisher.

Dick is survived by: his wife, Norma K. (Shirey) Fisher, whom he married July 2, 1955; children, Gilbert S. Fisher and wife, Kimbra, of Burnham, Tracey D. Fisher and wife, Kimbra, of Lewistown, and Gisele K. Miller and husband, Robert, of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Dane Fisher and wife, Corry, of Reedsville, Danielle Allen and husband, Justin, of Reedsville, Brandon Fisher and wife, Joanna, of Mars, Cieara Rankin and husband, Kyle, of Reedsville, Devin Fisher and wife, Brianna, of Sewickley, and Spencer Miller and wife, Jasmine, of Colorado; nine great-grandchildren, Mason and Eden Allen, Reece and Rowan Fisher, Cora and Cooper Rankin, Noah and Peyton Fisher, and Cameron Fisher; a sister, Lamar Ramsey, of Burnham; and brother, Max E. Fisher and wife, Hazel, of Lewistown.

He was a graduate of Derry Township High School, Class of 1950.

Dick was a member of Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown, and was the last surviving charter member of the Chief Logan Lions Club. He was also a lifetime member of Lewistown Masonic Lodge No. 203; the Harrisburg Consistory and the Mifflin County “Jaffa Shriners” Shrine Club.

Dick, along with his brother, Max, owned and operated Fisher Brothers Inc. bus company in Burnham for 60 years.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2019 (Labor Day) at Saint John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 120 N. Main St., Lewistown. A memorial service with communion will follow at 5 p.m., with Reverend Jerri Carlin officiating.

Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
