James O'Niel Cornett Jr., 77, husband of Alma Wilkerson Cornett died Saturday, March 22, 2014. He was born December 29, 1936 in Diablock, KY to the late James O'Niel Cornett Sr. and Celicia Fugate Cornett. James was a mechanical engineer, a member of Wilmore Free Methodist Church and First Baptist in Bremen IN and he loved to golf and fish. Family survivors are a son, Kenneth Cornett, four step children, Stephen (Beverly) Blake, Yvonne (David) Burks, Lynn Wilson, Quentin (Lisa) Blake, eleven step grandchildren, two brothers Dan (Inga) Cornett and Virgil Cornett. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Anne Pugh Cornett. Services will be 11:00 am Thursday at Wilmore Free Methodist Church with Pastor Daryl Diddle and Pastor Reed Wilbanks officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Betts & West Funeral Home and Thursday from 10:00 am until time of service at the church. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Bremen Cemetery in Bremen IN. Contributions suggested to American Diabetes Association. Online guestbook at www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com
