Billie Ruth Brown Ankrum, age 91, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born August 3, 1927 in Olden, Texas. Billie entered into WWII at the age of 16 and served in the Women's Army Air Corp, worked at The Pentagon for 2 years and later attended Howard Payne University . After the service, Billie was a homemaker, taking care of her beloved children and attended Community Life Church in Forney, Texas. She enjoyed art and spending time with her family and pets.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Donzell Lee Ankrum; parents, Viola May Brown and Emmett Brown; siblings, Betty Joe Brown, Dotty Brown, Beverly Brown and Ardis Brown; a great-grandson, Beckett Ross Ankrum and many other family members and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Donna Ankrum Seyster; son, Robert "Bob" Ankrum and wife, Patricia; son, William Scott Ankrum and wife, Joyce and son, Lee Ankrum and wife, Kendra;

Grandchildren, Deana Hutchison and husband, Jerry, Christopher Ankrum, Major Jeremy Shane Ankrum and wife, Charolette, Keith Ankrum and his wife, Kevin Tally and wife, Brandie and Drake Ankrum, Sammie Ankrum and Addelyn Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Lauren Bratcher and husband, Klint; Michael Yeater and wife, Kelsey; Krysta Wardell and husband, Chase; Lucas Martin and wife, Nicole; Tristin Ankrum and wife, Savannah;

Great-great-grandchildren, Kaden Bratcher, Jud Bratcher, JoJo Bratcher and Haden Martin;

Sister, Marie Milligan, her beloved Tinkerbell and a host of extended family members.
