Mary M. Denton, 67, of Lathrop died Sunday in Medford, Ore. She was born in Viola, Ark., and lived in Lathrop for 49 years. Denton worked for the Stockton Public Library as a clerk typist for 22 years and was a deputy clerk for Manteca Municipal Court for 19 years.
Survivors: husband, Elbert Denton of Lathrop; daughter, Martha Dowdy of Rogersville, Mo.; sister, Helen Harwell of Hot Springs, Ark.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, P.L. Fry Son, 290 N. Union St., Manteca. Visitation: noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Committal: Cooksville Rural Cemetery, Macon, Miss.
