Glen Richard Skelton, age 80, of Ocean Springs Mississippi died peacefully in his home on December 14th surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Skelton was a resident of Ocean Springs since 1965. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years, retiring as a Master Sargent [sic] from Keelser AFB in 1976.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose, his seven children, Anthony (Patricia) Skelton, Dominic Skelton, Terésa (Stephen) Hebert, Mark Skelton, Damian (Leslie) Skelton, Monica (Aaron) Easterling and Juliana Skelton.
He was a loving Grandad to nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four siblings.
A Mass to celebrate his life will be held Monday, December 21st at 11:00 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 502 Jackson Ave in Ocean Springs, where Mr. Skelton was a parishioner for 50 years.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local St. Vincent de Paul Society, or your favorite charity, in Glen Skelton's name.∼Glen was the son of Glen Page Skelton and Lucille Gunter. The stepson of Martha Rogers.
He was the brother of Marguerite Skelton Weston. The half brother of Roger Page Skelton, Glenda Skelton Wondrick and Glen Pylet Skelton.
His paternal grandparents were William Shafe Skelton and Neacy Turnage.
His maternal grandparents were George 'Clarence' Gunter and his wife, Daisy McGower.
Glen lived a life dedicated to the service of his country, his church, his community. His final gift was the donation of his body to science.
